Series2 Firmware and Backups

Series2 Firmware and Backups

Here TDM Firmware can be uploaded to the Series2 processor card. Also the current B feature configuration can be generated, downloaded, and restored.

Version: 4.3.0.6

This page contains two sections. The first is the Firmware Files, here new firmware can be uploaded to Voiceware in preparation for upgrading the TDM side. Below the list of available files (if any) is also the current firmware versions installed the EPROM and RAM slots A and B.

The 2nd section is the Settings Files. Much like the Voiceware backups page this page will allow a user to pull the current B feature configuration and download that file to their desktop if they wish. Unlike the Backups page however there is no schedule to automatically pull the B feature configuration and store them here.  It is recommended then that after the system is installed and tested that a B Feature configuration be pulled and stored here. Once done the Voiceware backup process will backup any programming files and include them upon a system restore (but will not push them over to the TDM side, that is always done manually).

Firmware Files

Here a list of Firmware files are listed that are available to push over to the Series2 TDM Processor card.

This line allows the users to select the slot to push the firmware (RAM Slot A or B), select the span (i.e. which cabinet in a multi cabinet installation) and then to finally push the firmware.

Below this line there are also two buttons “Download” and “Delete” these buttons can be used to either download the firmware file or delete a firmware file from the list above.

Here a new firmware file can be selected from the PC accessing the system and uploaded in preparation for push to the Series2 TDM Processor card.

Settings Files

This list shows all TDM B Feature backups along with the date they were pulled and their size.

These two buttons allow for either the download (pull) or upload (push) of the complete series2 programing. To push a B Feature configuration file select the file and click the Push Settings button. The settings will then be pushed over to the TDM side (a processes taking about 15-30 seconds) and will then be used by the TDM side. Note that due to extension sorting on the TDM side it may be up to two minutes before all settings take effect.

To pull the current configuration click the Pull Current from Series2 button. This process should take about 30 seconds after which the new programming file will appear in the list. These files are very small, about 20 KB.

Below the Push and Pull buttons are the buttons Download and Delete. These buttons are used to either download a Programming file to your local hard drive or to remove a programing file from the system.

Finally by using the options in the lowest section a user can browse and select a Programming file from their local PC and using the Upload Settings File upload the file to Voiceware.
