Snom

Note Snom models C520, C620, M100, and M500 use the Vtech SIP stack, refer to the Vtech page for details on those models.

Many snom settings take 2 reboots - first reboot to get the setting, second reboot to apply the setting.

Snoms can be "factory" reset without the Admin password by holding in the # key and connecting power to the device (PIE or PSU) and continue to hold the key until the device eventually boots into "recovery" mode. This has been tested on the Snom 7xx and 8xx series.

📔 This is not for the PA1+, this is for the older model SNOM PA1

  1. Under the Setup tab on the left, click Software Update

  2. In the Manual Software Update section paste in the following url and click load http://ndp1-jxn.secureuc.net/frm/snomPA1-8.7.5.96-SIP-f.bin

  3. Then provision as usual

  1. Make sure the Firmware is upgraded. See Note Above.

  2. Log into the WebUI

  3. Navigate to Advanced → QoS/Security.

  4. Scroll to HTTP Client → Enter the Username and Password.

  5. Apply the changes.

  6. Navigate to Advanced → Update.

  7. Add http://prov.secureuc.net/cfg/{mac} to the Setting URL.

  8. Apply and Reboot the phone.

The below overrides are largely unnecessary at this time due to the advance tab and these overrides being in the GUI. However we will leave them below should you encounter them on an older domain.
