The below overrides are largely unnecessary at this time due to the advance tab and these overrides being in the GUI. However we will leave them below should you encounter them on an older domain.

  1. Navigate to Maintenance -> Firmware Upgrade

  2. Set Upgrade via, to HTTP

  3. Add the appropriate link to the Firmware Server Path Field (Found under firmware.grandstream.com)

  4. Select No, next to Allow DHCP Options 43, 66, and 160 to Override Server

  5. Save and Apply

  6. Navigate to Status -> System

  7. Click on Check for New Firmware

  8. Once the upgrade is complete, navigate to Status -> DECT Base Status and verify the handsets are upgrading and queued for upgrading

  1. Log into each phone. Do not update more than 3 at a time.

  2. Navigate to the Maintenance page

  3. Go to Upgrade and Provisioning

  4. Add the appropriate link to the firmware server field.

  5. Save and Apply

IMPORTANT UPGRADING NOTES:

  • If the GXP21xx phone is on firmware 1.0.6.x or lower versions, please upgrade to 1.0.7.97 first.

The HTTP upgrading path for firmware 1.0.7.97 is: firmware.grandstream.com/gxp21xx/1_0_7_97

  • If the GXP21xx phone is on firmware 1.0.7.x, please upgrade to 1.0.8.x first, and then upgrade to 1.0.9.x.

  1. Build out the extension in ConnectWare with the correct model, using 1 line.

  2. Log Into the GAC2500

  3. Navigate to Maintenance¹ → Upgrade²

  4. Enable Expert Mode³ in the top right corner.

  5. Check Always send HTTP Basic Authentication Information⁴.

  6. Uncheck Use Grandstream GAPS⁵

  7. Choose HTTP⁶ next to Config File Upgrade via

  8. Insert the Path⁷, Username⁸, and Password⁹

  9. Save and Reboot the Phone

The GHP610W/GHP611W is preconfigured to connect to a default SSID named “wp_master ” with password (WPA/WPA2 PSK) “wp!987@dmin ”. Users can also modify these settings from the phone’s web UI.

  1. Ensure your phone is powered up and connected to the Internet.

  2. Locate the MAC address on the bottom of the device or on the package.

  3. From a computer connected to the same network as the GHP61X, type in the following address using the GHP61X’s MAC address on your browser: https://.local Example: https://c074adffffff.local Note: The user can also dial **47# and the current IP address will be announced by the IVR.

  4. Enter the admin username and password to access the configuration menu. (The factory default username is “admin” and the default random password can be found on the sticker at the back of the unit).

  1. Set Static IPs or DHCP reservations on the GRP phones receiving the call and GDS doorphone

  2. Add the following overrides to the GRP phones:

Multi-Zone Paging

Step 1: When setting a multi-zone page, the Grandstream Desk phones must have 2 DTMF settings added. “In-Audio” and “via RTP (RFC2833).”
