ConnectWare Fax Settings

Allows basic fax settings to be changed along with being able to assign fax users.
General
Displays the account name and allows fax deleting to be enabled or disabled.
Users
Every user who has been added to the users page and has a valid email will be displayed here. Clicking on a user will allow faxing to be enabled or disabled. It's common to enable faxing for admin users in the hotel who manage, make, and receive faxes.
Note: faxing can also be enabled on the users page. Making the user an Admin at this level enables them to see faxing devices and add other users. This is not commonly needed.
Faxing Setup
Before setup in ConnectWare:
Buy a fax ATA gateway from 888VoIP
eFaxing does not require an ATA. An ATA is only required for physical onsite Fax machines.
Port a number in LNPXpress to the domain in question as a FaxEdge number
To setup faxing for a domain follow these steps.
Edit the domain and enable faxing on the Basic tab.
Enable faxing for at least one user in the Users tab on the Fax Settings page (see above)
Add the ATA in Inventory - Fax Numbers - Fax Devices if using a physical ATA. Note ATAs are optional and connect to physical fax machines on site.
Note: if the serial number starts with “VT” then select version D, otherwise if the serial number starts with “B” select version B.
Add a Fax number under Inventory - Fax Numbers - Numbers.
Company name is optional, secure fax mode is normally used for faxes containing personal information or credit card numbers.
Once a number is added add at least one user with the Edit Users icon.
Select a user from the dropdown and then enable what access the user has, once done click save.
A user will then be able to log into their ConnectWare account and from their account page will have access to the Fax page. From there they can manage and send faxes.
